We had posted some questions to Rutvikkumar as a part of his #ATAMyStory
1. Why should someone choose testing as a career ? Or What does testing really mean to you ?
While there are many numbers to pursue testing is needed, I always feel quality assurance is the gate keeper of product quality. QA community play pivotal role to pleasant customer experience, major driver for business. With new technology (like AI), uncertainty and hesitance of adopting the same increasing. QA again ensures no compromise with quality even in new regime of technology.
So Be it legacy world of application or adopting new technology, QA is reaffirming its role to make quality of any product at fore front.
2. While practice makes all of us perfect, share an everyday practice that has made things better for you at work
Would have love to tell story of how my cricket cover drive got better, but will restrict to work for now . With new technology, methodology, solution, etc…, We are surrounded by many of theoretical views. I try to convert them in practice as and when scenario permits. This may not change theory but increase my confidence about that theory. Such practice make those theories perfect for me.
3. The most challenging bug or issue that I have found and learnings from it ? Or The most challenging testing task that I have done and how I accomplished the same
I was working for one of banking customer where payment had several rules, one of such rule was for payment initiated between 2 AM to 7 AM. Initally, dedicated testing team used to wake up to test around 5 tests for that rule. We had created scheduled test automation which will invoke tests from 1:59 AM and test it. Technology had got lots of blessings then, from those testers and their family as well
