We had posted some questions to Prem as a part of his #ATAMyStory

1. Why should someone choose testing as a career? Or what does testing really mean to you?

Testing is a quite creative work. No one will explain the process to you. The job is more like a detective where you will need to analyze the clues and think of places where the application is not consistent when it comes to the end user.

2. While practice makes all of us perfect, share an everyday practice that has made things better for you at work

Testing is a quite creative work. No one will explain the process to you. The job is more like a detective where you will need to analyze the clues and think of places where the application is not consistent when it comes to the end user.

3. The most challenging bug or issue that I have found and learnings from it ? Or The most challenging testing task that I have done and how I accomplished the same

The most challenging testing work will be for a rule that I did in 2015 which was a very complex and huge logic. I comprised of various smaller sub-logics. I broke them down to these sub-logics. Created understanding documents for them, Test plan and test cases separately for each and then ultimately combine them as a complete test plan/test scenario document. Test execution was also done in parts to identify where the bug is and to obtain accurate code. This process took 2+ months to completely and there was no bug found in UAT.
