Java Boot Camp by Agile Testing Alliance.

Agile Testing Alliance (ATA) has been running Java Boot Camps for quite some time now. ATA has run this program at no cost. Which means that the participants get the hands-on Java training at absolutely Zero cost. This is done as a part of the community initiative of Agile Testing Alliance, to help bring testers learn the basic coding skills so that they can embark the automation journey. Java is the first step to move into Selenium, Cucumber or Appium. Enabling the participants with java skills is like bridging the most needed skills for today’s testing population.

This 7th batch of the Java Boot Camp by ATA has commenced from 18th November. A collage of some of the folks who are attending the program is as below.

Java Boot camp covers some of the most basic topics on java to the advanced topics such as Encapsulation, Polymorphism, Abstraction etc.

45 folks across 28 organizations have registered for this Boot Camp. Folks from all across the globe has registered for this instructor lead online program.

We appreciate the patience and support from all the participants who went through the program on the first day.

This Java Boot Camp is a part of the larger initiative by Agile Testing Alliance known as #TesterBhiCoder.

Agile Testing Alliance has been in favour of building a testing community which is more aware about agile and testing. Today’s testing world is changing and the demand for technical testers is far more than anyone else. ATA wants that all the professionals associated with testing and QA step up and learn coding, be more technical than what they are and start pursuing the next generation role, hence the name #TesterBhiCoder

We are glad that we are able to help fulfil this objective to a large extent. Most of the folks who have registered for this program are into testing for some time and are eager to move to automation specially selenium.

Here are some of the examples

Ashok Kumar from BORN, who is currently working as a QA Lead and has more than 12+ years of experience in software testing, has this to share.“Soon we are planning to use Selenium in our project. So basics of Java will help me understand selenium better. This is the main reason for me to attend this program

Kanchan from IBM, who has 11 years of IT experience and into project management. Kanchan is also CSM certified and PMP trained. Kanchan further says “My main motive is to brush up with the java knowledge which i think is addressed very well in this boot camp

Rupam from Optym, Rupam is working as a QA Engineer at Optym. He is working in Manual Testing, API Testing and Automation Testing. Rupam has around 5.6 yrs of experince in testing. Rupam mentionsI am looking for a career in Selenium or other java based automation tools. This is the reason I enrolled for this boot camp.I want to learn java and then selenium and then proceed for certification

Jayesh from Rolta India, Jayesh is a post graduate in Computer Applications, having more than 9 years of experience into Functional testing with exposure to Automation testing (RFT, Selenium and QF-Test).
